Vallecito Lake Engagement Session
If you haven’t been to Vallecito Lake, let me be the first to invite you, and inspire you with this Vallecito Lake engagement session.
In actuality, this wasn’t an engagement session but rather a couples session for my friends Mariana & Dima, who visited shortly after my husband and I bought our mountain dream home outside of Durango, Colorado. Vallecito Lake is just 10 minutes from our house, making it the perfect fall photography location in the mountains for a portrait session, which is why Mariana, Dima, my husband, Mark, and I went there for their holiday photo family session (not without their two adorable pups, Lady Bear and Balto).
As I type this, their little Lady Bear has already crossed the rainbow bridge, inspiring me to blog this Vallecito Lake couples session as a little memento for her. I have known her and Mariana for over 10 years, and Lady Bear’s spirit has been etched in my heart forever. While her loss has been incredibly hard for Mariana and Dima, I hope, at least, that the photos I have taken of her and her human, Mariana, over the last 10+ years can give her memory the beauty and respect it deserves.
Here’s to you, Little Lady Bear.
