Standley Lake Engagement Session | Fall Engagement Session

I call this an engagement session but Erin and Logan have actually been married for nearly four years. I’ve been photographing them on and off for the past five years and I think this Standley Lake engagement session is one of my favorites I’ve done with them. We met at Blue Hour at the edge […]

Inspired by the ephemeral, the decaying, the never-lasting autumn light. For this editorial shoot, I wanted to try something a little different, something a bit muted. I wanted an anti-bride styled shoot with a flowy silky dress, brown leaves on the ground, a monochromatic bouquet, and lace. View more here at www.ashleyjoycephotography.com

about ashley

"The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return."

I’m Ashley Joyce. I’m so glad you’re here.

I believe in creating artistic and meaningful tangible memories for my clients in the form of film and digital photographs. I believe that art and beauty are all around us – in the mundane, the repetitive, the quiet, the unnoticed. It’s everywhere and I want to capture as much of as I can, especially for my clients.

I went to school for art and photography and through my studies, I learned to pay attention to my surroundings with a quiet, contemplative eye. I saw angles, shadows, peaks of light, poetic forms that made my heart ache with beauty – things that maybe the average eye might have missed. That’s how I will approach your wedding, elopement, or couples session – with a creative, contemplative eye and a heartfelt expression to tell your story as beautifully as possible.

Your wedding day, engagement session, and portrait session deserves to be immortalized. Everyday is fleeting and your memories should be preserved for years to come. That’s why I do what I do – to make sure these passing days are not forgotten, to remind ourselves of the love and beauty that are all around us, and to ensure that your treasured memories are enshrined forever.
