I call this an engagement session but Erin and Logan have actually been married for nearly four years. I’ve been photographing them on and off for the past five years and I think this Standley Lake engagement session is one of my favorites I’ve done with them. We met at Blue Hour at the edge of Standley Lake in Arvada, Colorado and while at first I was worried about the sunlight being behind the Rocky Mountains, it actually proved to give us the exact dreamy, ethereal vibe we were going for. I personally think some of these photographs would look amazing as paintings and for that, I am grateful.
