Heidi and Colleen are from Colorado but traveled down to New Mexico to host an intimate, elegant, and stylish Santa Fe elopement at the Inn of the Turquoise Bear, a small inn and wedding venue in a quaint little neighborhood in the New Mexico capital. Their love for New Mexican culture, architecture, and the famous Georgia O’Keeffe inspired the two to honor their love with unique and special elements, such as the book, Georgia O’Keeffe at Home, dirt from the New Mexican mesa, and colorful wedding shoes. Every element of their Santa Fe elopement was thoroughly thought of and expertly executed to produce such a stunning and elegant wedding day and I was beyond thrilled to photograph such an event, especially for people such as Heidi and Colleen.
If you know them, you know that Heidi and Colleen are pure warmth, pure love, pure passion. Everything about them is sincere and utterly beautiful, both inside and out, and I hope that these photos may give their spirits some sort of justice, if only a little.
Even though this elopement took place quite a few years ago, I still look back fondly on this day and wish to relive it (and, honestly, I feel that way about most of my couple’s weddings!). This elopement was just so beyond joyous that the warmth of the day has extended beyond the years, even to this day.
