Renewing your vows doesn’t have to be reserved for a 5, 10, 20, or 30+ year anniversary. You can easily renew your vows every year, if you’d like. In fact, that’s exactly what Haley & Migui do each year and in 2021, I had the pleasure of photographing their vow renewal on a sunny summer day in Morrison, Colorado.
Performing a vow renewal ceremony can be as easy as walking along a trail, standing in front of your spouse, and saying your heart-felt promises to one another as the sun sets around you. You don’t need an officiant (although you could easily book one if you want a more formal ceremony), you don’t need any witnesses, and you don’t need any official paperwork. It can be as easy as spending an evening in the beautiful outdoors with the one you love while you express your unending love to each other, and it can be as long, short, simple, intricate, small, or large as your heart’s desire. It’s all about the love you share and how you express it to one another. Make it all about you, no matter what that looks like.
