Lauren and Matt are getting married this fall at one of the most gorgeous wedding venues in New Mexico, Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm. I met them at this spectacular venue right before I moved to Denver this spring and we made plans to do their engagement photos when they planned to visit Denver this summer. I was so happy our schedules aligned while they were in town so we could do their Cheesman Park engagement photos. Although the afternoon gave us a tiny bit of rain and a threat of a thunderstorm, it was so special to photograph Lauren and her soon-to-be husband, Matt, in this treasured park.
You see, Lauren grew up in Denver, and only lived a few blocks away from Cheesman Park. Although the couple now lives in Cleveland, Lauren mentioned to me how often her and her family would visit this park when she was a child, and how often she heard about the haunted houses that surrounded the park’s borders. Cheesman Park, with it’s luscious gardens, beautiful white pavilion, and spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains, has a dark history, which you’re welcome to read about. During our session together, however, we stayed away from those haunted areas and spent a wonderful evening together to ensure Lauren and Matt had beautiful photographs to remember their engagement season by.
If you’re engaged and want to book your engagement session with me, please say hello! Maybe you’ll take me to another fun & haunted location… I can’t say I won’t love it.
